401k can be a worry or NOT?
Checked your 401k lately? The recent financial collapse has diminished the 401k retirement resource. Elderly workers are hardest hit and their financial futures may now be at risk.
Worries about 401k, hidden fees, affording enough during your working years to put into it.
What is a 401k?
A 401k is a tax deferral retirement savings plan for employed people. You join a 401k plan through your work place, and tell your Employer how much of your income should be put into your 401k before your money is taxed and given back to you in your salary.
Because the amount of your taxable income gets reduced when pretax funds are sent to your 401k, you will end up paying less taxes at the moment, and therefore the money grows without those taxes until retirement.
How much is it possible to SAVE every year for your 401k?
You are able contribute up to $17,000 per annum into your 401k as of 2012 and $5500 extra if you're over 50 years YOUNG!.
Your Employer is able to make a contribution of up to 6% of the your salary as well.
